Later in the day Mesic will meet European Commission President
Romano Prodi for talks expected to focus on an application for
European Union membership Croatia is expected to submit in Athens
on the 18th.
On Tuesday Mesic will hold talks with NATO Secretary-General George
Robertson, and attend a private lunch to be given by the Belgian
royal couple.
Also tomorrow, he will make an address on what Croatia may offer to
united Europe at the Royal Institute for International Relations.
