ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic on Friday received a delegation from the City of Rijeka in regard to the candidacy of this biggest Croatian seaport to host the 16th Mediterranean Games in 2009.

candidacy of this biggest Croatian seaport to host the 16th
Mediterranean Games in 2009. #L#
The decision for candidacy will be made this autumn and Rijeka's
competitors are the Italian city of Pescari and Patros in Greece.
Both countries are to host next year's Olympic games in the summer
and winter.
