SARAJEVO, Feb 4 (Hina) - NATO's Commander-in-Chief for Europe, U.S. General James Jones on Tuesday arrived in Bosnia-Herzegovina for a two-day visit, said Shawn Mell, spokesman for the NATO-led Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in
Sarajevo.
SARAJEVO, Feb 4 (Hina) - NATO's Commander-in-Chief for Europe, U.S.
General James Jones on Tuesday arrived in Bosnia-Herzegovina for a
two-day visit, said Shawn Mell, spokesman for the NATO-led
Stabilisation Force (SFOR) in Sarajevo. #L#
Later today, General Jones will hold talks behind closed doors with
High Representative for Bosnia Paddy Ashdown and ambassadors of
Western countries.
The NATO commander will also hold talks with the SFOR chief
commander, General William Ward, and the commanders of three
multinational brigades with headquarters in Mostar, Tuzla and
Banja Luka.
The SFOR spokesman said this was a regular visit and added that
Jones arrived in Bosnia to discuss the reorganisation of the
country's armed forces, the functioning of the standing committee
for military issues and measures Bosnia was taking to draw closer to
NATO's Partnership for Peace programme.
