Reporters asked him how the LS could remain in the ruling coalition
after statements about "the crooked policy of the premier and vice-
premier, Ivica Racan and Slavko Linic.
The party's aim is to offer a better strategy for the work of the
ruling coalition, an active reform programme to fix omissions made
during the past three years, said Banac.
He said that in talks with Premier Racan, he had not used
"hypercritical remarks" as he had done at the LS electoral
assembly.
The party presidency held a session on January 31, at which Zlatko
Kramaric, Andrea Feldman and Helena Stimac Radin were elected as
vice-presidents.
