ZAGREB, Jan 27 (Hina) - A project "National Authorities for Public Libraries in Europe" ("NAPLE") has been launched at the initiative of Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal because of the growing need for better cooperation
between European public libraries, members of a Croatian delegation that attended a Copenhagen conference on the matter said in Zagreb on Monday.
ZAGREB, Jan 27 (Hina) - A project "National Authorities for Public
Libraries in Europe" ("NAPLE") has been launched at the initiative
of Ireland, the Netherlands, Denmark and Portugal because of the
growing need for better cooperation between European public
libraries, members of a Croatian delegation that attended a
Copenhagen conference on the matter said in Zagreb on Monday. #L#
Twenty-three (23) European countries have joined the NAPLE, and the
entire job of the NAPLE in Croatia has been entrusted to the
Croatian Library Institute within the National and University
Library.
The long term objective of the programme is to help build libraries
that will be able to exchange information throughout Europe.
