The central Lika-Senj County has the most arms per 100 residents,
20, while Medjimurje County in the north has the least, three, said
Lucin. He proposed restricting the quantity of arms that can be
legally possessed, even introducing a tax.
Lucin also said that in the past 12 months some 67,000 explosive
devices had been turned over free of charge, as well as some 6,500
rifles and machine-guns, 2.3 million pieces of ammunition and
around 3.7 tonnes of explosive.
