In Ljubljana Linic is to meet several ministers in the Antun Rop
cabinet, as well as Croatian and Slovene businessmen.
Slovenia's Economy Minister Tea Petrin told the STA news agency on
Tuesday her meeting with Linic would address open issues in
economic cooperation and possibilities of boosting the commodity
exchange within the existing free trade agreement.
Talks will also touch upon connecting the capital markets, Slovene
companies' interest in privatisation in Croatia, and regional and
tourist cooperation, Petrin said.
Croatia-Slovenia trade last year exceeded one billion euros, a 13
percent increase from 2001. Slovene investments in Croatia are also
rising and stand at some US$400 million.
Slovenia's Finance Ministry has said new fields for Slovene
investments in Croatia lay in tourism, finances, and insurance.
While in the Slovene capital, Linic will meet Social Policy and
Labour Minister Vlado Dimoski, the president of the Chamber of
Commerce, Jozko Cuk, local investors, Environment and Space
Minister Janez Kopac, and Transport Minister Jakob Presecnik.
