ZAGREB, Jan 13 (Hina) - During 11 months of 2002 there were 8.2 million arrivals of tourists in Croatia with a six (6) percent increase in comparison to the January-November period of 2001. The number of overnight stays rose by three
(3) percent to 44.42 million, the Central Bureau of Statistics reported.

million arrivals of tourists in Croatia with a six (6) percent
increase in comparison to the January-November period of 2001. The

In the first eleven months of 2002, Croatia welcomed almost seven
(7) million foreign tourists (a 6% increase), who made 39.6 million
overnight stays (3% increase), which accounted for 89 percent of
all overnight stays in that period.
There were 1.31 million Croatian guests (or by 5 percent more) with
a one (1) percent fall in their overnight stay amounting to 4.8
million.
In the January-November period the most numerous foreign holiday-
makers were Germans (1.47 million arrivals with 10.7 million
overnight stays), Italians (1.08 million arrivals and 4.8 million
overnight stays) and Slovenes (864.2 thousand arrivals and five
million overnight stays)
