The SFOR spokesman in Sarajevo, Yves Vanier, told Hina that SFOR
troops, acting in line with their mandate, had inspected the radio
station's communication system for possible evidence of abuse.
Vainer refused to speculate on when the results of the inspection
would be known, but said the job was a very complex one.
In accordance with a document which regulates relations between the
SFOR and local authorities, the NATO-led troops are inspecting
radio communication equipment and its possible abuse for military
and intelligence purposes or the illegal wire-tapping of
citizens.
SFOR is also authorised to determine whether the equipment of media
companies is used contrary to the Dayton Peace Accords.
