ZAGREB, Nov 26 (Hina) - Nongovernmental ecological and fishingassociations from Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro, as well as the PressCentre for Environmental Protection in the eastern Croatian city ofOsijek, on Friday signed a
declaration on the protection of themainstream of the Danube River.
ZAGREB, Nov 26 (Hina) - Nongovernmental ecological and fishing
associations from Croatia and Serbia-Montenegro, as well as the Press Centre
for Environmental Protection in the eastern Croatian city of Osijek, on Friday
signed a declaration on the protection of the mainstream of the Danube
River.The objective of the declaration, which will be forwarded to the
European Union, the European Commission and the governments of the two
countries, is to protect the river from any form of pollution.
Local reporters, who were present at the signing ceremony, agreed to
exchange relevant information on environmental protection on a regular
basis.
