Komarica told the press after the talks he thanked Cavic and the entity's Interior Ministry for reacting quickly and finding the killer. He added the resolute action on the part of the police showed that the rule of law could function when there was a will. The dignitary said that all peoples and communities in the entity must feel safe.
He also said that the official representatives of the Catholic Church in the entity would do everything to promote respect, tolerance, and unity.
The 66-year-old Visaticki was killed for gain by Bogdan Gigovic, 34, in Bosanska Gradiska on November 18. He was arrested the same day.
Cavic's Office said in a press release Komarica gave the president a memo expressing the Catholic community's concern about the crime. Cavic reiterated his commitment to the process of reconciliation and restoration of confidence among the constituent peoples and religious communities in the Bosnian Serb entity.
