ZAGREB, Nov 9 (Hina) - The foreign ministers of countries signatories to the US-Adriatic Charter meet on the northern Croatian Adriatic archipelago of Brijuni on November 12 and 13.

The meeting will be held as part of the Croatian six-month presidency of the Charter and will be expanded to include delegations from NATO and nine more countries, the Croatian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.

The Croatian delegation will be headed by Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul. Macedonia will be represented by Ilinka Mitreva, Albania by Kastriot Islami and the United States by the Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Asia, Elizabeth Jones.

The meeting is also expected to be attended by high-level delegations from NATO, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro, Slovenia, and Turkey.

The US-Adriatic Charter was signed in Tirana in 2002 by US Secretary of State Colin Powell and the foreign ministers of Albania, Croatia and Macedonia, countries aspiring for membership in the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation.

The Charter is modelled on a similar document which the US signed with the Baltic countries, which are now full NATO members.
