"All countries in the world are bound to act in line with requests from the Hague tribunal. The indictee's citizenship is irrelevant for the procedure, regardless of whether he surrenders voluntarily or is handed over, and this also refers to the citizens of Republika Srpska if they happen to be on the territory of Serbia," Stojkovic said.
According to the Belgrade-based "Blic" daily of Monday, Dodik accused Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica and the Serbian government of "lacking the will to arrest Hague tribunal indictees from Republika Srpska who are very likely to be in Serbia" and suggested setting up a special Bosnian Serb police unit which would arrest and transfer to The Hague war crimes indictees and which would be able to cross the border into Serbia and Montenegro and arrest indictees on Serbia and Montenegro's territory.
Apart from Stojkovic, there have been no other official comments on Dodik's proposal.
The Hague tribunal has requested Serbia to arrest 18 indictees, including citizens of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the best known being former Bosnian Serb army commander Ratko Mladic, who the tribunal believes is hiding in Serbia.
