MOSTAR, Nov 3 (Hina) - The enlargement of the European Union will not be completed until western Balkan countries join the bloc, the head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Bosnia-Herzegovina, Michael Humphreys, said in the southern town of Mostar on Wednesday during the sixth inter-parliamentary session of a joint commission of both houses of the Bosnian parliament and a delegation of the European Parliament for relations with Bosnia, Albania and Serbia and Montenegro.

Humphreys called on the Bosnian parliament to hold more discussions on European integration processes.

Doris Pack, who is at the helm of the European Parliament delegation, said at the start of the Mostar session that the situation in the city was still delicate because of the still existing divisions. Citing Slovenia as an example of a country from Southeast Europe which became an EU member and commenting on Croatia's progress on the path to EU membership, pack said Croatia would launch EU entry talks next year.

At the closed part of the session, Bosnian deputies and their European counterparts will talk about the political situation in Bosnia, changes to the Bosnian Constitution and the role of the international community's High Representative in Bosnia, an official statement said.
