ZAGREB, Oct 28 (Hina) - The worker of the United Nations, abducted in Kabul on Thursday with another two colleagues, has been identified as Shqipe Habibi and holds travel documents issued by the UN in Kosovo, the Croatian Foreign Ministry reported on Thursday.

"The name of the kidnapped woman is Shqipe Habibi and she holds UN travel documents from Kosovo, a so-called UNMIK passport," a source from the ministry told Hina speaking on condition of anonymity.

The source added that the ministry obtained the information on the woman's identity from the UN administration in the capital of Afghanistan.

Reports on the abduction of three foreigners, UN officials in Afghanistan, were contradictory in regard to their citizenship.

The Associated Press, for instance, reported that the victims were all women and believed to include one Irish and one Croatian citizen.

According to this US agency, UN spokesman Manoel de Almeida e Silva confirmed the abductions but declined to identify the victims or reveal their nationality.

Sources in the Afghan government said that three persons working for the election commission -- two women from Great Britain and Kosovo and one man from the Philippines -- were abducted from a UN car and taken from Kabul by armed attackers.
