At a session on Wednesday, the government instructed the state-owned Croatian Highways (HAC) company to publish a tender for the construction of the highway, which should be completed in 2008.
Bidders will be able to apply for the construction of the entire road or its sections.
Transport Minister Bozidar Kalmeta said that plans were being drawn up for the construction of a highway from the Hungarian to the Bosnian border (so-called Corridor Vc) and a highway from Zagreb to Sisak.
