OSIJEK COUNTY BECOMES FULL MEMBER OF WORKING COMMUNITY OF DANUBE REGIONSOSIJEK, Oct 27 (Hina) - The eastern Croatian County of Osijek-Baranjahas become a full member of the Working Community of Danube Regions ata recent conference of
prime ministers of Community members held inthe Austrian town of Sankt Polten, the office of the county head saidin a statement on Wednesday.
OSIJEK, Oct 27 (Hina) - The eastern Croatian County of Osijek-Baranja
has become a full member of the Working Community of Danube Regions at a
recent conference of prime ministers of Community members held in the Austrian
town of Sankt Polten, the office of the county head said in a statement on
Wednesday.The statement said that the application for full membership, filed by
County head Kresimir Bubalo, had been unanimously supported by the participants
in the conference.
The County of Osijek-Baranja has been actively involved in the Work
Community since 1991 when Croatia signed the joint declaration and became a
full member.
The Community was established in Vienna in 1990 to promote economic
development, transport, regional planning, tourism, culture, sport, science and
environmental protection. It consists of 23 regions from 10 Danube
countries.
