WASHINGTON, Oct 22 (Hina) - The group of Croatian tourists who were
robbed in Mexico on Thursday is fine and has resumed its vacation, while
Croatian diplomats have taken steps to provide those whose passports were
stolen with documents so they can return home, Hina learned from Croatia's
Embassy in Washington on Friday.Twenty-seven Croatian tourists were robbed by a group of thieves about
60 km from the archaeological locality of Palenque in Mexico. Their money and
valuables were stolen, while two tourists had their passports stolen as
well.
The Croats were not hurt.
The Croatian Embassy in Washington was notified by the Mexican Embassy
in the U.S. capital that Mexican police are investigating the robbery.
The Croatian tourists departed for Mexico on October 17 and are due back
in Croatia on the 26th.
