The event, which pooled 136 scientists from Croatia, Austria, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Hungary, Germany and Slovenia. was organised by the Croatian Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Association, under the auspices of the Croatian Science Sports and Education Ministry, the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences, the universities of Zagreb and Rijeka and the town of Ogulin.
