The weekly combines the ministry's two publications - the "Obrana" bulletin and the "Hrvatski vojnik" magazine.
Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic said the weekly was designed in line with some of the most renowned world military magazines and that it was available at www.hrvatski-vojnik.hr.
The first issue of the weekly includes an interview with the minister, who stated, among other things, that a study on making the Croatian military a professional army would be completed next month.
He also said that the possible deployment of Croatian soldiers in Iraq would depend on political, legal, operative and financial conditions.
