The project includes the modernisation, reconstruction and privatisation of the northern Adriatic port of Rijeka and the reconstruction of roads.
The World Bank granted the US$55 million loan for the works in the port and some $100 million for the road construction.
The World Bank delegation on Wednesday held talks with representatives of the Croatian Ministry of the Sea, Tourism, Transport and Development, the Economy Ministry and the Labour and Entrepreneurship Ministry, and Rijeka Port officials. The talks focused on the implementation of the project.
The head of the RGP in the World Bank, Michel Audige, told a news conference he was satisfied with the pace of the implementation of the project.
