ZAGREB, Sept 21 (Hina) - The Zagreb Waldorf School will be given a
licence to continue teaching, and the noticed irregularities such as suspicion
of child abuse will be the matter for competent authorities to investigate,
Croatian Education Minister Dragan Primorac told a news conference on
Tuesday.Primorac presented findings of an expert commission that had looked into
allegations of wrongdoing by the school's faculty. There is suspicion that at
least seven teachers, some of whom have already left the school, physically and
mentally abused at least 28 kids. According to unofficial reports, three
teachers have quitted their jobs.
No details of the commission's findings were revealed due to children's
right to privacy and the ongoing investigation.
The minister also announced expert monitoring of the school's
activities.
