The two ministers signed an agreement on cooperation in providing assistance in the event of natural disasters.
Both ministers told reporters that the meeting had taken place in a friendly atmosphere and described it as very successful.
"Austria strongly supports Croatia on its path to full membership of the European Union," Strasser said. He welcomed the agreed cooperation in preventing organised crime and illegal migrations.
Mlinaric thanked Austria for its support to Croatia on the road to the EU.
During the day-long visit, the Croatian Interior Ministry delegation was also scheduled to visit a special police unit in Vienna.
