Slovenia's current co-chairman in the commission, Aleksandar Gerzina, will be given a new task in connection with Slovenia's presidency of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe next year, Vajgl told a news conference on Wednesday.
Speaking, among other things, about relations with Croatia, Vajgl said his next meeting with Croatian Foreign Minister Miomir Zuzul was not set yet but added it would take place.
Vajgl also reiterated that Slovenia could not consent to changes of a fishermen's code of conduct in Savudrija Bay in the northern Adriatic under which fishing in this border area would be exempt from police supervision.
Vajgl added his ministry would continue to look for ways to remove the current problems which he said Slovene fishermen encountered due to the nonexistence of a sea border agreement between Croatia and Slovenia. He added there should be no problems if both sides intended to develop good neighbourly cooperation that was focused on the future.
