Zuzul, who is on an official visit to the South African Republic where he will attend the 14th conference of the Non-Aligned Movement in Durban, spoke about Croatia's recent history, the country's joining of the European Union in the near future, and prospects of cooperation between Croatia and the Republic of South Africa.
He said Croatia had been enjoying observer status in the Non-Aligned Movement since 1992, and stressed the importance of the Movement.
Speaking about the two countries' tourist and economic cooperation, Zuzul said the number of tourists coming from the South-African Republic was growing.
He stressed Croatia was interested in becoming a South African entry point to Europe.
The Croatian Embassy in the Republic of South Africa is Croatia's only diplomatic office south of Sahara, which points to the importance Croatia attaches to relations with that country as well as the African continent, the statement said.
