According to Salkic, the new names the entity parliament has given towns and municipalities "ridicule" the Constitutional Court's decision, which has prompted the Muslim club of deputies to launch proceedings to protect a vital national interest.
Salkic voiced hope a compromise would be found.
The Muslim club of deputies has also decided to raise the issue of protection of a vital national interest in the case of the entity parliament's answer to Party of Democratic Action leader Sulejman Tihic's initiative to have the Bosnian Constitutional Court take a stand on the compliance with the Constitution of Republika Srpska legislation on the flag, coat of arms, anthem and national holidays.
Salkic told reporters parliament's negative answer was an attempt to revive the debate on the Bosnian census. He said the time was still not right for the debate because the return of refugees and displaced persons was not over for which reason the census would not reflect the real situation in Bosnia.
