ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - The leader of Slovene ultranationalists, Zmago Jelincic, who was on the top of the list of his party proposed for elections for the European Parliament, has attacked Croatian President Stjepan Mesic for his statements that Sveta Gera is part of Croatian territory where the Slovene army has no place.
ZAGREB, May 14 (Hina) - The leader of Slovene ultranationalists, Zmago Jelincic, who was on the top of the list of his party proposed for elections for the European Parliament, has attacked Croatian President Stjepan Mesic for his statements that Sveta Gera is part of Croatian territory where the Slovene army has no place.#L# Jelinicic on Friday slammed Mesic for what he labelled as nationalistic statements and criticised Slovenia's government for failing to respond to this act of "interference in the internal affairs" of the neighbouring country. "Our party expects Mesic not to repeat historical mistakes and to discontinue making arbitrary acts and unilateral decisions in a bid to claim territories outside the Croatian borders," reads a press release of Jelincic's Slovene National Party (SNS) carried by the Slovene agency STA. On Friday, the party handed over the list with its candidates who will run in the election for the European Parliament, which is scheduled to take place in Slovenia on 13 June.
