As Vice-President of the Council of European Bishops' Conferences, he
will also attend a session of a commission consisting of
representatives of the Council and bishops' conferences from Africa
and Madagascar.
The aim of the meeting is to prepare a symposium of bishops from
Europe and Africa, and to draw attention to the Church in Africa and
to the African continent in general, which, as Pope John Paul II has
said, has remained forgotten in globalisation processes, the press
release said.
