ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - Croatia has gone a long way in adjusting its legislation to that of the European Union, which has been recognised in the opinion of the European Commission, which has acknowledged the efforts Croatia is making to draw closer to the EU, Croatia's Assistant European Integration Minister Tamara Obradovic said on Friday.
ZAGREB, April 23 (Hina) - Croatia has gone a long way in adjusting its legislation to that of the European Union, which has been recognised in the opinion of the European Commission, which has acknowledged the efforts Croatia is making to draw closer to the EU, Croatia's Assistant European Integration Minister Tamara Obradovic said on Friday.#L# "Croatia has gone a long way in the process of adjustment of its legislation. This is in a way confirmed in the opinion of the EC which has recognised Croatia's efforts," Obradovic said, adding that the EC and Croatia were aware that the next step was the strengthening of administrative structures for the implementation of the adjusted legislation. She recalled that 116 laws had been adjusted to the acquis communautaire since the beginning of the process in 2000. After the signing of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement in 2001, the adjustment process became irreversible and obligatory. (Hina) rml
