ZAGREB, April 21 (Hina) - The Independent Croatian Trade Unions (NHS) on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on yesterday's positive recommendation by the European Commission on the opening of talks on Croatia's
admission to the European Union.
ZAGREB, April 21 (Hina) - The Independent Croatian Trade Unions (NHS)
on Wednesday congratulated Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on yesterday's
positive recommendation by the European Commission on the opening of
talks on Croatia's admission to the European Union.#L#
The union also congratulated the former prime minister Ivica Racan and
his government on the reform processes which they had launched, as
well as President Stjepan Mesic for his contribution to the promotion
of a positive attitude to Croatia in the international community.
The NHS believes that despite numerous tasks that lie ahead, Croatia
will in June receive
an equally positive answer from the European Council inviting it to
start negotiations on EU membership.
