The exhibition "Germany and France: Reconciliation for Europe" was
organised by the German and French embassies and the Organisation for
Security and Cooperation in Europe Mission in Croatia.
The advisors on culture in the two embassies, Heke Gabriel and Oliver
Brochet, said in their opening addresses the Treaty of Elysee enabled
the creation of the European Union in its current framework and showed
the way to sustainable reconciliation between peoples who had been
foes for a long time.
