Deputy Prime Minister Andrija Hebrang, a statement from the Government

Speaking of the Council's method of work, Hebrang said that as an
advisory body it would contribute to the strategy for the development
of the country, notably the 2005-2009 national development plan.
The Council will also put forward proposals for the development of
various sectors of the economy and propose economic policies within
the process of association with the European Union.
