ZAGREB: SERB ORTHODOX FAITHFUL CELEBRATE EASTER

ZAGREB, April 11 (Hina) - Croatian Serb Orthodox believers on Sunday gathered at Zagreb's Church of the Lord's Transfiguration for the Easter service, which was conducted by the head of the Serb Orthodox Church in Croatia, Italy and Slovenia, Metropolitan Jovan, and Zagreb archpriest Milenko Popovic.#L# After the liturgy, the faithful were read out an Easter message by the head of the Serb Orthodox Church, Patriarch Pavle. In his message Patriarch Pavle expressed sympathy with those who were expelled from their homes in Kosovo and Metohija and other places. "We are deeply saddened by the latest pogrom of our people in Kosovo and Metohija and the destruction of our places of worship", the patriarch said, among other things. (Hina) rml
