ZAGREB, April 8 (Hina) - The government's Commission for the Prevention of Narcotics Abuse held its constituent session on Thursday at which the new chairwoman, Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, said that 2,000 new addicts were
discovered in Croatia every year and that the number of registered drug addicts had reached 16,721.

of Narcotics Abuse held its constituent session on Thursday at which
the new chairwoman, Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor, said that
2,000 new addicts were discovered in Croatia every year and that the
number of registered drug addicts had reached 16,721.#L#
The commission considered an action plan recently adopted by the
government containing concrete measures that need to be taken in the
coming months to curb drug abuse.
