BELGRADE, April 4 (Hina) - Presidential elections in Serbia will be held on 13 June, the Serbian parliament speaker and acting president, Predrag Markovic, said in Belgrade on Sunday.#L# Presidential candidacies have been announced by the vice-president of the Serb Radical Party, Tomislav Nikolic, and the leader of the Democratic Party, Boris Tadic, who is the incumbent defence minister of Serbia and Montenegro. The Serbian parliament recently annulled a provision under which more than 50 percent of voters had to go to the polls in the first round of elections for the vote to be valid. Because of this provision Serbian citizens have been unable to elect a president since late 2002, when the then president, Milan Milutinovic, indicted by the UN war crimes tribunal, was transferred to The Hague.
