SPLIT, April 3 (Hina) - Speaking about the latest indictments against Bosnian Croats, the president of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP), Anto Djapic, told a news conference in Split on Saturday he was "horrified by their monstrosity" and that they "want to deprive the Croat people of its soul".#L# "The allegations in the indictments are worse than we feared," Djapic said and added the indictments undermined the justification of the Homeland War and the struggle of the Croatian people for their independence. According to the indictments, all Croat institutions in Bosnia are criminal but their setting up was a minimum which had to be taken in order to protect the Croats in Bosnia, Djapic said. According to him, it is monstrous to interpret the fact that Croatia provided for 500,000 Muslim refugees as part of an ethnic cleansing plan. "This is not an attack only on Bosnian Croats, but also on the Croatian state which in 1991 fully supported the defence of the Croat people in Bosnia," Djapic said. Djapic said this was a direct blow to the foundations of the Croatian state, "We cannot tolerate this, which is why we insist on the holding of an extraordinary parliamentary session," the HSP leader said and added that in choosing between the avis and dignity in the defence of the Croatian state, the HSP chose the latter. "We demand of the government to react strongly. We expect of the prime minister to take concrete measures in defending Croatia from The Hague, which has crossed the last line because the allegations are not of legal but of a political nature," Djapic said. Asked how the HSP would react if it was the ruling party, Djapic said it would hold a public referendum. (Hina) it
