BELGRADE ON SITUATION IN KOSOVO BELGRADE, March 24 (Hina) - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said after talks with his counterpart from Serbian and Montenegro Goran Svilanovic in Belgrade on Wednesday that the European Union and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) had not yet had a definitive assessment on what happened in Kosovo last week.
BELGRADE, March 24 (Hina) - Slovene Foreign Minister Dimitrij Rupel said after talks with his counterpart from Serbian and Montenegro Goran Svilanovic in Belgrade on Wednesday that the European Union and the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) had not yet had a definitive assessment on what happened in Kosovo last week.#L# "I came here to listen and not to give assessments. We know that tragic events took place in Kosovo, but we don't know what is good for Kosovo and Serbia, that is why I would like to hear their opinion," Rupel said and announcing his visit to Pristina to get their side of the story. Svilanovic said Serbia and Montenegro wants all forms of violence in Kosovo to stop. The country also insists on establishing the responsibility of the masterminds and perpetrators of the violence. "I informed Rupel of the idea of the decentralisation of Kosovo," Svilanovic said and added he presented other ideas for the solution to the Kosovo issues. Rupel also held talks with the chairman of the Serbian government's coordinating centre for Kosovo, Nebojsa Covic. (Hina) it
