Nebojsa Covic, on Monday demanded of the United States to use its influence in the United Nations so as to establish a military administration in Kosovo, sources in Gracanica, near Pristina reported.
PRI[TINA, March 22 (Hina) - The chairman of the Serbian government's
coordinating centre for Kosovo, Nebojsa Covic, on Monday demanded of
the United States to use its influence in the United Nations so as to
establish a military administration in Kosovo, sources in Gracanica,
near Pristina reported.#L#
During talks with the head of the US Office in Pristina, Marcie Ries,
Covic said the military administration was the only solution to the
current situation in Kosovo.
Covic reiterated that UN Civil Administrator in Kosovo Harri Holkerri
could no longer be at the helm of the UN Mission in Kosovo,
particularly after the statement he gave to a US radio station on
Sunday saying that the events in Kosovo could not be called ethnic
cleansing as these words were too strong.
