PRISTINA, March 22 (Hina) - Kosovo Ombudsman Marek Antoni Nowicki has called on international and local NGOs to assist evacuated Serbs and members of other minorities accommodated in provisional shelters.#L# The evacuees, who are under the protection of the Kosovo Force (KFOR) or are accommodated in provisional shelters throughout Kosovo, need food, clothing, medicines and blankets, Nowicki said in a statement on Sunday evening. The Belgrade-based Co-ordinating Centre for Kosovo said last night that 3,064 people had left their homes in the recent bloody clashes in Kosovo. Most of them are staying with their relatives and friends in Kosovo and Kosovska Mitrovica districts. Around one thousand people sought shelter in KFOR bases. Most of the evacuees are from Kosovo Polje, Pristina, Lipljan, Obilic, Slivovo, Kisnica and Rabovac. (Hina) rml
