standards.

Pack, who chairs the Commission for External Affairs in charge of
Southeast Europe, said that the future of Kosovo lay in the European
Union, but noted that "it requires time and effort".
The development and future of Kosovo is the responsibility of
politicians in Kosovo, who have to work on meeting the necessary
standards not for the sake of the international community but for the
sake of citizens of Kosovo, she added.
Speaking to reporters after meeting UN administrator Harri Holkeri,
Kosovo president Ibrahim Rugova and prime minister Bajram Rexhepi,
Pack pointed out that the most important issues in Kosovo included
parallel government structures and privatisation.
The European Parliament delegation is in Kosovo for a three-day
visit.
