LJUBLJANA, March 18 (Hina) - Slovenia's President Janez Drnovsek on
Thursday gave a public statement condemning the violence in Kosovo and
attacks against religious facilities and foreign diplomatic offices in
Serbia.#L#
Violence cannot be a solution to inter-ethnic problems and a means to
accomplish political objectives as it negates the efforts of the
international community to achieve stabilisation, peace and democracy
in Kosovo and the wider area, the Slovene head of state said.
The tragic events in Kosovo cannot be a justification for the violent
riots in some parts of Serbia-Montenegro or for re-inciting ethnic
hatred among the population, Drnovsek said.
