The officials who offered condolences are European Commission
President Romano Prodi, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, NATO
Secretary-General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer , Polish President Aleksander
Kwasniewski, Austrian Chancellor Wolfgang Schuessel, German Foreign
Minister Joschka Fischer and Council of Europe Secretary-General
Walter Schwimmer.
All the messages say that Trajkovski was a man of peace and dialogue
and that he played an important role in the strengthening of
democratic institutions in Macedonia.
