We agree that it is necessary to remain in contact with the
authorities in Belgrade, because there is no point in excluding anyone
in the region, Busek said.
"Stability in the region and in Europe is possible only if the
dialogue continues," he added.
President Mesic plays an important part in this and is capable of
promoting dialogue as a signal to young generations that they will
have to live together, Busek said.
Busek said he had come to Croatia to get acquainted with
representatives of the new government and to continue contacts with
President Mesic. "For the Stability Pact, Mesic plays the role of a
guarantor that Croatia will follow the path towards the European
Union," he stressed.
