several dozens of thousands of people, ended in the northern Adriatic

The carnival was attended by masked groups from Italy, Germany,
Slovenia, Slovakia, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Montenegro. It was also
attended by Croatian President Stjepan Mesic, European Integration
Minister Kolindra Grabar Kitarovic and Rijeka mayor Vojko Obersnel.
