ZAGREB, Feb 18 (Hina) - The Croatian government on Wednesday evening
defined this year's draft budget, the expenditure of which is
projected at 85.08 billion kuna while current revenues are projected
at 79.4 billion kuna,#L#
Finance Minister Ivan Suker presented the main items of the budget to
reporters before the government's session.
Speaking about commitments this government has succeeded, Prime
Minister Ivo Sanader said at the session that a state audit could be
sent to ministries. He added that the former government was signing
agreements even after the November 23 elections, and wondered on
behalf of whom the former authorities made commitments for the years
to come.
The government adopted the most important financial document late
Wednesday evening at the session which started with one hour of delay
- around 8 PM.
The reason for that was that the agreement on the budget was not
reached until the very last moment.
