The same sources declined to reveal details from the budget. Finance
Minister Ivan Suker said last week the planned deficit would be
between 4.5 and 4.6 percent of Gross Domestic Product.
Given that last year was election year, the budget was not adopted at
the end of 2003. The state is being financed on the basis of a
decision on temporary financing for the first three months of this
year.
Late March is the final deadline by which parliament is expected to
adopt the budget.
