ZAGREB, Feb 17 (Hina) - Commenting on a statement by the new director of the Croatian Health Insurance Agency (HZZO), Veceslac Bergman, who proposed that medications which cost less than 20 kuna be taken off the list of free HZZO
prescription medications, Health Minister Andrija Hebrang said on Tuesday the model would not be implemented because of Croatia's social situation.

of the Croatian Health Insurance Agency (HZZO), Veceslac Bergman, who
proposed that medications which cost less than 20 kuna be taken off
the list of free HZZO prescription medications, Health Minister
Andrija Hebrang said on Tuesday the model would not be implemented
because of Croatia's social situation.#L#
"The said option is only one of the European models that have been
analysed, but given that the social situation in Croatia is different
the model will not be implemented," Hebrang said in a statement and
added that medications would not be taken off the list of free HZZO
prescription medicines.
