MOSTAR, Feb 11 (Hina) - The European Union Police Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina said on Wednesday that organisers of the football game between Zagreb's Dinamo and Split's Hajduk in Siroki Brijeg, Bosnia-Herzegovina, on February 8,
failed to take adequate security preparation measures which would prevent incidents.
MOSTAR, Feb 11 (Hina) - The European Union Police Mission in
Bosnia-Herzegovina said on Wednesday that organisers of the football
game between Zagreb's Dinamo and Split's Hajduk in Siroki Brijeg,
Bosnia-Herzegovina, on February 8, failed to take adequate security
preparation measures which would prevent incidents.#L#
The game was interrupted in the 39th minute of the first half after
hard objects and one knife were thrown in the field, after which
Dinamo vice president Zdravko Mamic withdrew his players and sent them
to the locker room. Eight policemen were injured in incidents on and
around the stadium. A total of 24 fans, all Croatian citizens, were
apprehended.
