ZAGREB, Feb 10 (Hina) - Italy supports and expedites the establishment of industrial districts in Croatia as well as of joint ventures in clothing, footwear, wood-processing and metal-processing industries, said Italy's deputy
minister of productive activities in charge of foreign trade, Adolfo Urso.

of industrial districts in Croatia as well as of joint ventures in
clothing, footwear, wood-processing and metal-processing industries,

Urso gave the statement at a seminar on industrial districts, which
was held at the Croatian economy and entrepreneurship ministry on
Tuesday. The event pooled an Italian business delegation which is on a
two-day visit to Croatia, ministry officials and local business people
from Bjelovar-Bilogora, Varazdin, Lika-Senj and Primorje-Gorski Kotar
counties, in which the said districts could be set up.
This model of industrial districts, which should follow suit from
Italy, envisages the establishment of joint clusters by business
people from the above-mentioned industries with the aim of entering
foreign markets together.
