WASHINGTON, Feb 4(Hina) - A Croatian parliament delegation, led by MP Kresimir Cosic, is on a visit to the United States to advance the two countries' cooperation in controlling arms exports and exchanging experience in maintaining
border security.

Kresimir Cosic, is on a visit to the United States to advance the two
countries' cooperation in controlling arms exports and exchanging
experience in maintaining border security.#L#
The delegation of Croatia's parliament and government also includes
representatives of foreign, defence, interior, economy and finance
ministries.
The visit started on Tuesday with presentations and talks in the U.S.
State Department. In the next several days the Croatian delegation
will hold talks with experts from the U.S. departments of economy,
homeland security, defence and representatives of the U.S. Coast
Guard.
The visit is aimed at advancing anti-smuggling activities and security
of Croatia's borders as a priority of national security which is
important for the country's drawing closer to NATO and the European
Union.
Croatian and U.S. officials will asses the situation in the arms
export control system in Croatia and the implementation of commitments
defined by international agreements and conventions as well as
domestic legislation.
